Baltimore County requires that ALL volunteers have a current background check and be currently listed on their Approved Volunteer Roster.

To Volunteer:

• Fill out our volunteer form here. (This information is no longer collected during registration due to tech issues.)
• Visit Baltimore County's volunteer website and look under section 3 for the link to the approved volunteer list. Search for Catonsville under Council and then it's alphabetized by last name. For the 2024 spring season, your background check must expire 7/1/24 or later. The document is usually updated every Friday.
• If your name is there with a valid date, you're all set! If not, please complete your Background Check here. Complete your volunteer application/ background check. We are REGION A-C COMMUNITIES, then CATONSVILLE. Once completed, we suggest that you download the copy for your records. Please note: you must fill out the Google volunteer form as well or we will not know that you have volunteered.

 

Some Notes:

• ALL coaches, assistant coaches, bench parents, board members and general volunteers must be background checked. It takes less than 5 minutes and it keeps our players and our program safe.
• No coaches will be assigned a team until they are on the Approved Volunteer Roster. It can take up to 2 weeks (sometimes longer) so please get it done early.
• CGS will have no information if your application is not approved. You will have to contact the county directly.
